It’s a well-known scene: A whistling man is walking along the street; he unknowingly steps on a banana-peel, slips, and falls –KABANG- hard unto the ground. Bystanders can’t stop laughing.
Why do we find it funny when things go wrong? And why is it wrong that this is funny? OR And why is it wrong that we find this funny? OR And why do we think it’s wrong that this is funny?
In Just Kiddin’, directors-collective YoungGangsters works together with nine 3rd-year-students from the Acting-school in Utrecht. Inspired by the movies of Laurel & Hardy, Buster Keaton, and Charlie Chaplin, they go on a search to find the key to slapstick.
Just Kiddin’ is a physical play for everyone who’s 8 years old and up.
